Overview

After Hours Care for Established Patients: When you need immediate care after normal business hours, call (503) 221-0161. A Portland Clinic provider may be reached 24 hours a day. You will receive a return phone call from the provider on-call within at least one hour of your message.

**If you have the phone features of “Anonymous Call Rejection” or “Call Blocking” please remember to turn them off when you are expecting a call from our provider.

Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Please note, at this time we do not have lab or general x-ray services after 4:45 p.m., Monday-Friday, or general x-ray services on Saturdays. This is temporary.

On My Way

Our urgent care providers are available to treat conditions that require prompt medical attention, but are not life threatening, such as:

Minor burns and cuts
Sprains, strains, and fractures
Work-related illness or injuries
Flu and cold symptoms
Fever, sore throat and earache
Stings or bites
Sports Physicals
Allergies
Abscess
Ingrown toenails
STD testing
Rash
Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)
… and more.

If you are experiencing a life-threatening injury or illness, call 911 or go directly to the nearest hospital emergency room. Patients suffering from behavioral health or chemical dependency issues, accidental poisonings, or who have been a victim of a crime, should go to a hospital emergency room.

If you are looking to have a post-surgical appointment or a follow-up to an emergency room visit, please contact your primary care provider’s office to schedule.

Urgent care patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis, and depending on the severity of their illness or injury. We do our best to see you as soon as possible. There are some situations that may impact the ability to be cared for such as:

Presenting symptoms
Patient’s age
Volume of patients waiting to be seen

In order to provide the most appropriate evaluation and treatment, there may be times you care is redirected to another facility if the urgent care provider feels it is the best course of action.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

You do not have to be a patient of The Portland Clinic to use our Urgent Care.
The Portland Clinic’s urgent care physicians and nurse practitioners provide prescriptions when medically appropriate. We are unable to prescribe or refill controlled medications (narcotic pain medications, benzodiazepines, antipsychotics, etc). We also do not prescribe or refill medical marijuana prescriptions. Please contact your prescribing clinician for these refills.
Depending on your insurance plan, co-payments for Urgent Care may be more than your primary care physician’s office but less than the emergency room. Co-payments will be collected at the time of service.
