Bio

I knew from a very young age that I wanted to work in the medical field. In college, I intended to study occupational therapy, but found myself drawn to the nursing profession instead. After earning an undergraduate degree in biology and Spanish, I went on to nursing school at Oregon Health & Science University. I spent 10 years practicing nursing in many different settings before returning to school and earning a degree as a family nurse practitioner at St. Joseph’s College of Maine.

I chose family practice so that I could work with patients of all ages, and through all stages of life. My role is to be their partner in health care and well-being. I see each of my patients as individuals, and I use a whole-person approach as I try to help them find their own motivators to achieve better health. I celebrate diversity, and enjoy working with patients of different cultures, backgrounds and lifestyles.

I was born and raised in Portland, and am lucky to call this city my home. I have lived in Ecuador and have visited many other parts of the world, and although I love seeing new places, I am always excited to get back to the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

My family and I love getting outside and exploring new areas around Portland through hiking and geocaching. As someone who is drawn to the water, I also enjoy kayaking, swimming, spending time at the ocean, and participating in a year-round recreational dragon boat team.

Please Note:  Trisha works closely with the Beaverton family medicine physicians, seeing their patients on a same-day/overflow basis.  Patients cannot choose Trisha as their primary care provider.
