The American Heart Association (AHA) has recognized The Portland Clinic with its highest-level Gold and Gold+ performance awards for Type 2 diabetes and hypertension management. We’re proud of this tangible evidence of our team’s commitment to improving care and saving lives.
2022 AHA “Target: BP” Gold+ Quality Achievement Award
Target: BP™ is a national initiative of the AHA and the American Medical Association aimed at reducing
heart attacks and strokes. The program celebrates physician practices that help their patients achieve high rates of blood pressure control. Gold+, the highest performance level, is awarded to practices that control hypertension in at least 70% of their adult patients and demonstrate a commitment to measuring blood pressure accurately. The Portland Clinic earned the Gold+ Award by meeting this high standard of care. For us, helping our patients stay healthy is gratifying beyond measure.

Through Target: Type 2 Diabetes, the AHA and the American Diabetes Association are working together to reduce the risks of diabetes and cardiovascular disease and to build awareness of the links between the two.
