Bio

As a certified adult gerontology nurse practitioner, I provide primary care and chronic disease management for patients from the ages of 18 and older. I also treat acute issues and have a special interest in cardiology and rheumatology. My approach to care is holistic, taking into consideration the mental, psychological, and social components of health and wellness for each individual. I’m a big proponent of patient education, and I encourage my patients to be active participants in their care.

My interest in medicine began at a young age, and my passion for caring for others became clear in high school when I volunteered at my community hospital. Nursing allows me to blend my interest in health care and passion for serving patients into a wonderful career.

Originally from the Atlanta area, I earned my associate degree in nursing at Clayton State University and my bachelor’s in nursing at Georgia State. After spending much of my career in emergency nursing, I decided to become a nurse practitioner so that I could provide a higher level of care for patients. Returning to school, I earned my master’s degree in nursing at Maryville University in St. Louis, Mo. My family and I moved from Atlanta to Oregon in 2022, and we enjoy living here and exploring the Pacific Northwest. My hobbies include walking and hiking with our dogs, traveling and baking. I am also an avid reader, and I enjoy attending yoga classes several times a week.
