Family Medicine - Primary Care
As a doctor of osteopathic medicine, I enjoy the full spectrum of family care, taking special interest in women’s health and in managing chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol and obesity. I am board certified in family medicine.
I see myself as an educator as well as a physician, and I enjoy using both my medical knowledge and my teaching skills to help patients make decisions that are consistent with their health goals. My teaching background includes several years as a certified course facilitator for a national diabetes prevention program (Prevent T2) and a chronic disease management program.
I earned my osteopathic medicine degree at Western University of Health Sciences COMP-NW, and my master’s degree in biomedical informatics at Oregon Health & Science University. While earning both of these degrees simultaneously, I also pursued extracurricular training in lifestyle medicine and shared decision-making. My patients can expect healthy lifestyle choices and team-based support to be a focus of their care.
Originally from New York, I moved to Oregon in 2007 and now consider it home. When I’m not working with patients, I enjoy spending time with my family, working on computers, cooking and landscape photography.
