I worked as an infectious disease specialist on the East Coast for eight years before moving to the beautiful Pacific Northwest and transitioning to primary care. At The Portland Clinic, I am fortunate to get to do both.
I’ve practiced both private and academic medicine, which has given me a broad scope of experience, but at the end of the day I am a doctor who simply likes to take care of people. I enjoy providing good care based on sound medical principles. My services range from health maintenance and disease prevention to complex outpatient consultations. I think that practicing good medicine involves being accessible to my patients, as well as to my colleagues, and I see each encounter as an opportunity for learning. Patience, kindness, wisdom and understanding are what I try to achieve in every situation, every day.
I graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine and pursued my post-graduate training in internal medicine and infectious diseases at the University of Connecticut in Farmington. Originally from the Philippines, I’ve claimed Portland as my home since 2011, when I joined The Portland Clinic.
I believe in living life simply but having rich experiences. I have a wonderful family and I enjoy travel, good food and good conversation.
