Bio

I joined The Portland Clinic in 2017, bringing several years of experience as an emergency room physician, an urgent care doctor, and an internal medicine physician in both hospital and private practice settings. I enjoy the variety of working in urgent care, from treating acute and chronic medical conditions to performing minor surgical procedures, and I’m excited to be part of The Portland Clinic team. It’s gratifying to be able to assist patients with their acute needs and to refer them to the appropriate specialists to continue their care.

I began medical school at Universidad Veracruzana and continued my clinical rotations at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., and at the University of Miami, graduating with honors. I completed my internal medicine residency at the Northeast Ohio Medical University.

I strive to live a well-balanced life. One way I do that is by practicing mindfulness. A firm believer in the importance of exercise for overall health, I’ve been a runner for a number of years and have completed several long-distance triathlons. I also try to eat healthfully most of the time, and I enjoy trying new foods. I spend as much time as possible in nature with my wife and our two dogs. I love to travel and explore in the company of family and friends.
