Bio

I specialize in non-operative treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and in medical conditions affecting athletes. Although I have special interests in sports concussion management, non-operative treatment of osteoarthritis, and sports hernia, I also treat musculoskeletal disorders in people of all ages, regardless of whether or not they are athletes. As a sports medicine physician, I am not solely concerned with helping elite athletes achieve their maximum potential; I strive to help all active individuals reach their personal best, regardless of age, activity or skill level. 

I completed my sub-specialty fellowship training in sports medicine at the University of Utah in 2008. Prior to this, I completed a family medicine residency at Oregon Health & Science University. I am privileged to serve as a team physician for the University of Portland Pilots. I am also a member of the Oregon School Activities Association Medical Aspects of Sports Committee.

I truly enjoy the practice of sports medicine and appreciate the opportunity to work with my patients on their personal goals. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with friends, hiking and traveling.
