Family Medicine - Primary Care
I decided to become a doctor after spending some time as a medical assistant, where I saw the kinds of relationships that physicians are privileged to share with their patients. My relationships with my patients are my most valued asset as a physician and the reason why I’m here.
Before joining The Portland Clinic, I practiced as a family physician in Northeast Portland for 10 years. I enjoy caring for elders and hearing their stories, and I have significant experience in women’s health and infant care, as well. As an advocate for my patients, I make sure they have the information they need to make informed decisions about their care. My goals for my patients are based on their goals for themselves.
Born and raised in Oregon, I have lived in Portland since 2009. I attended Southern Oregon University before attending Albany Medical College in New York and becoming a board-certified family medicine physician.
Most of my time outside of the office is spent with my family. I am married to my best friend, and we have two lovely children. I enjoy fabric arts, including quilting, embroidery, and sewing Halloween costumes for my kids. As a family, we enjoy biking and swimming together. My husband and I also enjoy exploring the wonderful Portland food scene.
