Family Medicine - Manual Medicine & Osteopathy - Primary Care
For most of my life, I have felt drawn to health care, and in college, I discovered my love of medicine. Being able to combine my passion for science and my compassion for other people made medicine a perfect choice for me; I can’t imagine spending my life doing anything else.
As a doctor of osteopathy (DO) specializing in family medicine, I practice a “whole person” philosophy, seeing patients as more than just their disease or illness. Every patient is unique, and I enjoy treating patients of all ages and getting to know them. I’m especially interested in pediatrics and women’s health. In addition to traditional medicine, manual medicine is also a tool that I utilize in the treatment of many ailments, when appropriate.
Before I came to Portland, I spent the majority of my life in Oklahoma; I earned my undergraduate degree there and completed my medical training at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
I’ve always been drawn to mountains and trees, so I am excited to be in the Northwest where I can spend time outdoors, hiking and camping with my husband. We also love to travel and see the world. I have to admit, though, that sometimes there is nothing better than a good cup of coffee and a good book on a rainy day (yes, I like rain).
